Cynthia Ann Metz, 59, of Cahokia, Illinois, born March 29, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Cynthia was a successful donor through Mid America Transplant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Alma, nee Wilson. Metz, Sr.

Surviving are her son, Tim Carpenter of Cahokia, IL.; her brother, Lloyd "LJ" (Teresa) Metz, II of Fenton, MO; her sister, Tracey (Mick) Eddington of New Minden, IL; two nieces and a nephew, Elizabeth (Brandon) Tinker, Nikita (Justin) Hutchings and Wesley Eddington; great nieces and nephews, Tyreed, Avren, and Rowan Tinker and Gavin Hutchings. She was also a dear niece, cousin and friend.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the funeral home with Father William McGhee officiating. Entombment in Valhalla Mausoleum, Belleville, Illinois.
