Cynthia A. Cole, née Billhartz, 78, of East Carondelet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at La Bella of Freeburg. She was born on June 3, 1947, in Breese.

Cynthia dedicated more than 20 years of service to Parks College. She was a devoted fan of WWE and rarely missed Friday night wrestling. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, coloring, and caring for animals, which brought her great joy throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her son, Travis Ensor; her parents, Arthur and Vernell (née White) Billhartz; her brothers, Stuart Billhartz and Wayne Billhartz; and her goddaughter, Lori Wright Love.

Cynthia is survived by her loving daughters, Melissa (Robert) Helbig of Dupo and Jessica (Kevin) Haar of Imperial; her cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne Haar, Matthew Helbig, and Brenden Helbig; her beloved sister, Andrea (Herschel) Wright of New Baden; her devoted cousin, Janice Hugyez of Freeburg; and her lifelong friend, Sheila Cope of Swansea. She also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will fondly remember her.

In accordance with Cynthia's wishes, private cremation services were held.
