Christopher Shawn Robinson, Sr. went home to his Savior on November 18, 2025, at the age of 49. Chris was a man of deep faith and integrity who lived each moment boldly and to the fullest, seeking to honor God and serve others with his life

Chris was born April 14, 1976, to Ron and Connie Robinson, of Cahokia, IL where he grew up with his older brother and eventual best friend, Jeff. After graduating from Cahokia High School with the class of 1994, Chris continued his education through I.B.E.W. apprenticeship, college, and beyond becoming a Master Electrician several times over, a business owner, and later an instructor at both S.W.I.C. and Dupo High School

In 1997, Chris married the love of his life, Mary Beth Schuetz. They were married for 28+ wonderful years and blessed with six beautiful children-  C.J., Emmy, Gwynneth, Lance, Lincoln, and Molly. Chris was a proud and devoted father actively involved in the lives of his children and countless other young people, serving as a youth pastor, F.C.A. & Freshman Class Sponsor-  a role model for the next generation.

His family regularly attends both Life Community Church of Columbia and St. Matthew Church of Belleville where Chris was a devoted servant. Whether leading mission trips or men's groups, coaching on a field or a court, Chris was a faithful follower of Christ, leaving behind a legacy of passionate Christian faith.

The family will receive friends 4-8pm Saturday, Nov. 22nd at Braun Family Funeral Home in Columbia. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday the 23rd at 4pm, with doors opening at 3pm, at the Dupo High School Gymnasium. The family requests that condolence gifts be made to either church via check, Venmo, or website.
