Charles D. Sullivan, 91, of Waterloo, Illinois, born August 24, 1934, passed away on  Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Bria of Columbia Nursing and Rehab.

Charles was retired from the Defense Mapping and Planning in St. Louis, MO. He had formerly contributed to commentaries for the Belleville News Democrat. Charles would always be a strong advocate for people's rights.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and and Maurine, nee Kail, Sullivan;
siblings, Edward Sullivan, Harvey Sullivan, and Lottie Jean Carrier.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Sullivan, nee Borum; a step son, Tony Darnell of Marissa, IL; and nieces and nephews.

In following Charles' wishes a private cremation was to be held.  Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Mr. Sullivan.
