Charles "Chuck" Ray Carter, 70, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 7, 1950, in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his residence.

Chuck was an avid horseshoe pitcher and would travel out of state for horseshoe tournaments on his bicycle. Chuck would always tell people that he has rode his bicycle to all 48 states in the continental United States. He always had a story to tell to anyone who would listen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jimmy" and Shirley, nee Williams, Carter;

Surviving are his brother, Al (Lisa) Carter of Cahokia, IL; a nephew, Austin Schmid of Colorado. He was also a dear nephew, cousin, and friend.

A private cremation will be held and a Celebration of Life Service will be planned in the future when we can all get together.
