Charles Clyde Lybarger 88, of Columbia, IL., born May 28, 1932 in East St. Louis, IL., passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 28, 2020 at his residence.

Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War, he was wounded during his service and was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. Sauget, IL. he is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in High Ridge, MO. he had a passion for sharing his faith with others.

Preceded in death by his parents Orville & Gladys Simberger, Lybarger., Granddaughter Rebecca Buss.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years Mary Jane Lybarger nee Chinn, children Tina (Myron) Ledyard of Arnold, MO., Chuck (Marlene) Lybarger of Woodriver, IL., Chris (Gail) Lybarger of Fenton, MO., Suzanne (Orson) Valenzuela of Oakville, MO., Bethann (Jim) Sanders of Oakville, MO. 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Charles was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Thursday October 1, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Chris Lybarger officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Natl. Cemetery.
