Charles M. Haxton, 69, of Belleville, IL, formerly of North Carolina, born on July 15, 1951 in Norman, OK., passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran and he retired from Gulf stream Aerospace in Savanna, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manford and Ellen, nee Hanger, Haxton; a brother, John Haxton; and a sister-in-law, Dr. Bethany Haxton.

Surviving are his loving wife of 28 years, Cheryl L. Haxton, nee Geppert; his step-mother, Anne Haxton of Winston Salem, NC; children; Sarah (Ryan) Dunlap of Franklin, TN, Mary Alice (Joshua) Zelman of Ridgewood, NJ; and Leslie (Mazin Dajani) Foutch of Belleville, IL; a sister, Mary (Dr. Harry) Kinard of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Dr. William Haxton of Irmo, SC; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Charles was a dear friend to many.
