Carolyn Sue Mundy-Schremp, nee Hight, 80 years young of Waterloo, IL., born May 13, 1940 in Kenneth, MO, Heaven bound on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in St. Louis University Hospital.
Carolyn moved to Cahokia in 1955 and relocated to Waterloo in 1997. She worked for a printing company for several years before joining the K-Mart team in Cahokia until they closed 16 years later, and she retired from TJ Max in 2009. Carolyn was a very loving, strong, devoted and passionate wife to her husband, mother to her children, grandmother to her grandchildren and great granddaughter, and friend to everyone who new her. She loved life, especially her home BBQ's, spending holidays with her family and friends, and beloved grandson Mackenzy Mundy. She will be dearly missed by all. (Rest In Peace)
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and Belle, nee Dees, Hight; first husband, Larry Robert Mundy; a brother, James Hight, and a grandson, Mackenzy Scott Mundy. (23 yrs)
Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Gary Schremp; brother, Jerry (Karen) Hight of Freeburg, IL; a sister, Janis Hurley of Columbia, IL; her daughters, Jenna (Chester) Livell of Villa Ridge, MO., Carrie (Joseph) Schiro of Birdseye, IN., and Tina Schremp of Jasper, GA; Loving adopted daughters, Sassy and Daisy (14 & 12 yrs); her sons, Larry Mundy of Shilo, IL and Scott (Stephanie) Mundy of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Megan Livell of St. Louis, MO., Ryan Schiro of Billings, MT, Neil Schiro of TN and Matthew (Stacy) Mundy of Millstadt, IL; great granddaughter, Mia Mundy; and many nieces, cousins, and close beloved friends.
Memorials may be made to Helping Strays in Monroe Co. Illinois
Visitation will be on Monday February 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd Columbia, IL., and on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery, Belleville, IL
