Caroline Marie Evans, of Maryville IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Charles MO.

Born in St. Louis MO on August 19, 1941, she was raised by her parents Hazel, nee Thompson and Elmer Evans alongside her brother, William and sisters Elmira, Dorothy, Sophronia and Patricia.

She was a long-time active member of the Maplewood Church of Christ in Cahokia, IL and the Collinsville Church of Christ in Collinsville, IL. When not involved in church activities she kept busy as a member of the Cambridge House "Silver Sliders" Wii bowling team and enjoyed solving word search puzzles, playing bingo, and coloring pages in adult coloring books.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Cynthia Sue Green and Wendell Keith Green; a brother, William Evans; and two sisters, Sophronia Snead and Dorothy Lee.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Michelle) Green; a daughter, Michelle "Shelly" Green: two sisters, Myra Baiotto and Pat Mitchell; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Green and Andie Green. She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois. Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Caroline Evans.
