Carol Ann Kuntz, nee Capper, 74, of Cahokia, IL, born January 4, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in Mercy South Hospital. St. Louis, MO.

Carol retired from The Dept. of Army as a Administrative Assistant. She loved cooking and taking care of stray cats.

She was preceded in death, by her husband, Francis "Frank" Kuntz; her father, Jesse Capper; her mother, Faye Evans File; and a sister, Gloria DuBoise.

Surviving are her siblings, Harold F. File of Cahokia, IL, Staci (Ron) Guidry of Bloomington, IL, Johnny Paul Capper of Orlando, FL, and Jessica Capper of Caseyville, IL. Nieces and nephews; Amber (Matt Olech) DuBoise of St., Louis, MO, Jake Guidry and Andrew Guidry both of Bloomington, IL.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, IL.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
