Carol A. Clifton nee Baum 72 of Belleville, IL., born April 23, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL., passed away on December 11, 2023 at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Carol retired from Touchette Regional Hospital where she worked as Respiratory Therapist. She was an avid Cardinal fans and Kansas City Chiefs. Most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy "Chris" Baum; her parents, William and Mary  Baum;. one brother, William "Bill" Baum; and one sister, Barbara Clarkson.

Surviving are her son, Matthew J. Wheeler of Millstadt, IL; two sisters, Debbie (Ed) Schnaf and Yvonne (Steve) Flowers; uncles, Joe (Robin) Eugea and Jim (Vickie) Eugea; aunts JoAnn (Charles) Woods and Carren Eugea; nieces and nephews, Angie (Ricky) Baum, Lisa (Don) Tucker, Stephanie (Derrick) Stover, B.J. (Josette) Davis, Jacob (Julie) Flowers, Justin (Abby) Flowers, and Jenna (Kevin) Christopher; a grandson, Zach Price; and a grandpuppie  Mookie.
