Bruce William Carter, 61, of Dupo, IL, born December 23, 1960 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on May 13, 2022 at Mercy South Hospital.

Bruce spent his life in Dupo, Illinois where he made a large impact. He spent his time working at Good Times Bar and Grill until they recently closed and was a member of American Legion (son of the father squadron 485) in Dupo, Illinois. He loved watching baseball, always had a golf club in his hand, and had a big sense of humor. He was well known and active in the community and was loved by many.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Winifred Carter (1999), Orville William Carter (1990) and his niece Gabrielle Dawn Taylor (2020).

He is survived by his sisters Kim Ulrich (Dennis Smith) of Warsaw, KY; Barbara (Jim) Dixon of Sanders, KY; and his brother Alan Carter of Cahokia, IL. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Jessica (Stephen) Riddle, Isaiah Ulrich, and Ryan Robinson as well as his best friends Clarence Lindhorst, Todd Nobbe, and Terry and Casey Asher.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL. Funeral service will follow. Burial will be held at Palmier Cemetery Columbia, IL
