Beverly J. Carpenter, 67, of Troy, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born April 11, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Beverly was formerly employed by Joliet Jr. College and Southwestern Illinois Bell Telephone, Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Henry Carpenter; her parents, Loren and Mattie, nee Capper, Reeder; and a brother, Keith Reeder.

Surviving are a daughter, Jamie Carpenter of Troy, IL; three brothers, David Reeder of St. Louis, MO, Raymond (Susan) Reeder of Kettering, OH, and Kevin Reeder of Salem, OR; and her two beagles, Angel and Little Dog Carpenter. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Ridenour officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
