Betty M. Scott, nee Beatty, 96, of Cahokia, Illinois, born August 21, 1929 in Whitehall, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at St. Louis Altenheim Senior Living.

Betty was a retired Registered Nurse and had worked at different hospitals and nursing homes in the Metro East over the years.  She was a member of the former Bethel United Church of Christ in Cahokia, IL.  In her younger years Betty enjoyed needlepoint, and painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Scott; her father, Roy Beatty; mother, Helen Rehmus, nee Lawson; step father, Henry "Buck" Rehmus; and a brother, Robert Beatty.

Surviving are her sons, Richard "Rick" (Betty, nee Ficken) Scott of Dupo, IL and Mark (Jan) Scott of University City, MO; and two sisters, Carolyn Barton of Troy, MO and Nancy Czerniak of Kissie Mills, MO.  She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

A private burial will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.  The care of Mrs. Scott was entrusted to Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.
