Arthur C. Murden III, 71, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 3, 1954 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Art was a retired auto mechanic and truck driver and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved his Harley's. He also had a passion for classic cars.

He was preceded in death by a step son, Bradley Parker; his parents, Arthur c. and Lois, nee Taylor, Murden, Jr.; two brothers, Fred and Ted Murden; and two sisters, Sue Johns and Judy Holt.

Surviving are his son, Arthur Murden, IV of Cahokia, Illinois; a step son, Bo Biggs of Carlyle, IL; four grandchildren, Aleah, Nathan, Luke, and Alexis; and a special friend, Debra Wells. He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Agin officiating.
