Anita M. Brewer, nee Helton, 62, of Waterloo, IL, born April 21, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her residence.

Anita was a former member of Maplewood Park Baptist Church in Cahokia, IL. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Verda, nee Hopkins, Helton and her father-n-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Florence, nee Buss, Brewer.

Surviving are her loving husband of 44 years, John Brewer; son, Ryan (Sonia) Brewer of Waterloo, IL; brother, Darrell (Katie) Helton; sister, Karen (Jim) Zollars; sister-in-law, Leah Acup; and two grandchildren, Dylan and Sophie. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. In following Anita's wishes, she was to be cremated.
