Angus "Gus" Bailey was born on March 7, 1997 and died on March 17, 2025 at the age of 28.

Gus graduated from Waterloo High School in 2015 and graduated from Ranken Technical College. Gus enjoyed live music, cooking, canoeing, hunting, and being with friends.

Gus was a dearly beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend.

Gus was preceded in death by his sister, Katlyn S. Bailey, and his grandmother, Cora S. Peterson (nee Cooksey).

Gus is survived by his parents, Dan Bailey and Karen (Dannie) Rose; brothers, Bill Bailey and Stuarrt (Amy) Bailey; step-brother, Josh (Rachel) Rose; his nephew, Andrew Bailey; his nieces, Haley Rose and Hannah Bailey; his grandfather, Roy (Sandy) Peterson; his grandmother, Jackie Davis; his great-aunt Joyce Cooksey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Braun Funeral Home in Columbia, IL on Tuesday, March 25th at 7 p.m. with a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Per family wishes, Gus will be cremated. No burial service is scheduled to occur.
