Allie "Squeaky" M. McKnight, nee Tyner, 90, of East Carondelet, Illinois, born March 3, 1935 in Chesterfield, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in East Carondelet, Illinois.
Sister McKnight was retired from Reynolds Aluminum in St. Louis, MO. She was the Pastor and Founder of both the Lighthouse Church in Cahokia, IL and followed by the Guiding Light Ministries in East Carondelet, IL. She was a member of the FGCI. She had served as a Chaplain at several area hospitals. Sister McKnight was a very spirited bible based preacher who has led many people to the Lord over the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McKnight; a son, Fred McKnight; her parents, Elton "Joner" and Louvena, nee Elliott, Tyner; three brothers, William "Bob" Tyner, Elton "Leon" Tyner, and Clyde "Andy" Campbell; and a sister, Joerene Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy McKnight of Nashville, IL and Jimmy (Charlotte) McKnight of East Carondelet, IL; a special niece, Kathy Hearty-Yon of East Carondelet, IL; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Friends may visit from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
